L. Keenan Delaney

L. Keenan Delaney is president of the Dallas-based sports marketing consulting firm The Rockridge Group (TRG). Rockridge prides itself on developing unique ideas that translate consumers' passion for sports into business solutions for their clients. TRG's primary services include strategic planning/consulting and talent marketing as well as event creation, production and management. Founded in 2002, TRG clients have included Germain Racing, the Football Writers Association of America, Dupree/Miller & Associates, the Get Real with Dr. Phil Tour, and Affiliated Computer Services. He has also represented a number of sports and entertainment personalities including professional surfer Kelia Moniz and former Cincinnati Reds shortstop Barry Larkin.

Most recently, Delaney served as vice president of public affairs for Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. where he helped coordinated ACS' corporate political strategy. He also oversaw the company's community branding programs, managed ACS' sponsorship and philanthropic initiatives, and served as ACS' corporate director of supplier diversity.

Prior to moving to Dallas in 2002, he spent five years in New York City and Miami Beach, working in a variety of executive roles for Clear Channel Entertainment's (NYSE:CCE) SFX Sports Group. In 1997, he helped start Magicworks Sports Management, the sports division of Magicworks Entertainment (NYSE: MJK). As president of Magicworks Sports, Delaney successfully produced the 1998 and 1999 Black Coaches Association Football Classic. Magicworks was subsequently purchased by SFX Entertainment (NYSE: SFX) in 1998.

From 1994 through 1996, Delaney served as sports marketing and competition production manager for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG).

Delaney spent 1993 in Palm Beach, Florida working as director of marketing for Jack Nicklaus' Golden Bear Sports Management, where he recruited potential sports management clients, served as a client manager and negotiated endorsements and appearances.

Early in his career, he held a number of administrative positions within the University of Michigan athletic department and the University of Minnesota men's athletic department. Beginning his professional career as a marketing intern at Michigan, Delaney soon moved into a full-time role as assistant business manager. In 1989 he was named promotions director by then athletic director Bo Schembechler. At Minnesota, Delaney oversaw the men's tennis and men's swimming teams, coordinated football team travel and co-chaired the Hospitality Committee for the 1991 NCAA Men's Basketball 1st and 2nd round Midwest Regional and the 1992 NCAA Final Four.

A native of Worthington, Ohio, Delaney is a 1984 graduate of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, with a degree in marketing. As an undergrad, Delaney was a student manager on the Ohio State football team, serving as the team's head manager during the 1984 Big Ten Championship/1985 Rose Bowl season.

He represents the Fisher College on The Ohio State University Alumni Advisory Council. Delaney also sits on the boards of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association and The Family Place family violence shelter.
