Ty Shepfer

Ty Shepfer is a Human Resources Analyst for Shell Oil Company at the Congo Lubricants Plant, in Newell, West Virginia while also supporting a few distribution centers in the Pittsburgh area.  His focus is centered on various human industrial relations, performance management and change management. Ty is also actively involved with recruiting for Shell at Ohio State.  Before transferring to the Congo Plant, Ty worked at the Deer Park Refinery and Chemical Plant in Houston, Texas for two years.

Prior to joining Shell in August 2009, Ty was a member of the Honors Cohort Program at Fisher where he graduated Magna cum Laude and earned an undergraduate degree in Human Resources in 2007. During Ty’s time in undergrad he was a four-year manager for the men’s varsity basketball team and participated in the run to the national championship game in 2007. Ty was the co-founder of The Ohio State Surf Club and was actively involved in Junior Achievement.

In June 2009, Ty received his master’s degree in Labor and Human Resources from Ohio State. During graduate school Ty was the student representative on the Graduate Studies Committee and was also a teaching assistant for Business Administration 499. Ty is a two-time Pacesetter Award winner and was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio.
